How Nitip - Quick Share Works

Learn how local network pairing and real-time Socket.io communication work under the hood.

1. Automatic Network Room Pairing

When you open Nitip - Quick Share, the server detects your client IP address and automatically groups your devices into a shared room. Every device connected to the same Wi-Fi router or local IP receives a friendly name that you can customize in the "Device Identity" card.

2. Select Files, Text, or Screenshots

Use the Quick Compose section to type text, paste screenshots directly with Ctrl/⌘ + V, or drag and drop up to 10 files (50 MB per file, 100 MB total package limit). Supported formats include images, PDFs, audio, video, and documents.

3. Instant Real-Time Transmission

Clicking Send submits your item to the server. Via Socket.io WebSockets, all other active devices in your network room receive the item instantly without needing to manually refresh the browser page.

4. Preview, Download & 24-Hour Expiration

Preview image and video files directly in the browser or download attachments with a single tap. All shared items stay in your room history for 24 hours before automatic deletion from server storage.

5. Install as a Progressive Web App (PWA)

Install Nitip on Android, iOS, Windows, or macOS using your browser's "Add to Home Screen" or "Install App" option for native-like access and Web Share Target functionality.
